focus. is a privacy-first task manager. We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the service. We do not sell, share, or monetise your data. We do not serve ads.
When you use focus. without an account, all data (tasks, labels, settings) is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. No data is transmitted to any server. No personal information is collected.
When you choose to sign in with Google, the following applies:

This data is used solely to identify your account and is stored in Google Firebase.
Your tasks, labels, priorities, notes, and completion status are stored in Google Firebase Firestore to enable sync across devices. This data is associated with your Google UID.
We do not collect device identifiers, crash logs, analytics, or usage statistics.
When using cloud sync, we use the following Google services:
These services are operated by Google LLC. Their privacy practices are governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
Firebase may collect certain technical data as described in Firebase’s data disclosure.
We do not share your data with any third parties except as required by the Firebase/Google services described above. We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising or marketing.
Local mode: All data remains on your device. Uninstalling the app removes all local data.
Cloud mode: Your data is stored in Firebase for as long as you maintain an account. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account within the app. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

focus. is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
In local mode, your data never leaves your device. In cloud mode, data is protected by Google Firebase’s security infrastructure, including encryption in transit and at rest.
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this URL. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
